There are 7 warranted Guiders in Preseli District, 6 leaders doing their adult leadership qualification and many other Adults to help. As Guiders we are Volunteers. We run each meeting, usually only one a week during school term times as well as days out and holidays or camps during the holidays. This as you can imagine takes a lot of planning, so if you know of someone with a particular skill who would like to help out please get in touch. We always appreciate even the smallest amount of help.
As Guiders it is important that we continue to learn new skills to keep the Girls in our Units busy. So around once a year we go away to one of Girlguiding UK's Activity Centres.
In November of 2005, 5 of us went up to Waddow Hall in Lancashire. It was a Christmas Craft and Cookery weekend so we brought back many Christmasy ideas. If you are a Guider and would like to see some of our ideas please go to our resources pages.
