Eglwyswrw Rainbows & Brownies

As I look back over the year and reflect on all that has happened it is no wonder that time has flown. At the start of the Autumn term we planted a 100 daffodils as part of Marie Curie Field of hope challenge and raised a £119 for the charity.   October saw us celebrating Halloween with joint bug party a great time was had by all and there were some wonderful costumes to be seen.    In December the Rainbows and the Brownies attended the District Christmas service, with other Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section member and Cerdigion Beavers, cubs and scouts, a big thank you to all who took part.  December was also filled with Christmas parties for both units.  At Easter the Rainbows joined Cardigan, Llandudoch and Crymych Rainbows for a Easter fun day at Llandudoch, all had busy time and the girls looked really pretty in their Easter bonnets.  June and July were really busy months, with a trip to Broneirion for young friends fun day, the Brownies and older Rainbows had a brilliant time taking part in all sorts of Pirate themed activities with over 500 other girls, the Rainbows really enjoyed the treasure hunt and a water fight, and as usual the Brownies enjoyed the water slide, it was an amazing day for all.   The Brownies took part in the Giant sleepover, this year it was just them, we slept in Boncath hall and I would like to say a very big thank you to the hall committee for letting us hire hall for free, the girls raised £50 for child line and broke two world records, this time the girls did sleep, it must have been all that fresh air and playing in the park.  The division bbq was held in Dinas School and the girls had a good time.  The Rainbows were meant to go to Ceibwr beach for a summer bbq, but every time I organised or even mentioned this it rained, so thank you to Michelle for organising an indoor picnic.
