The party stopped off in Aberystwyth to get the shopping for the weekend and ended up with 'extras' in the trolley courtesy of some of the girls particularly Bryony and Christie. When we arrived at Bron we registered our arrival with Caroline on the camp site and chose our pitch for the weekend. |

All the girls pitched in and the tent was put up reasonably quickly and all our stuff was unloaded from the bus, glad rags hung in the tent. By this time we were all ready for tea and a birthday cake was produced to celebrate Hannah's 14th birthday a couple of days earlier in the week. |

Supper was produced for us up at the big house on that Friday evening and non of us really enjoyed it at all. Mush comes to mind, which was really sad as it was most of the girls first time at Bron and we had ensured them that the food was lush. After supper the girls had the opportunity to register for the activities they wanted to do during the weekend. It was all so different and relaxed to other trainings/weekend I had been on there. If they didn't turn up for a session then it was up to them, if they didn't want to do a particular session then that too was fine, and they could do all the sessions with their friends. They registered to do a pampering session, car maintenance, crafts, rafting, outdoor cooking and Caroline and Llinos booked them in to have a go at making items for the Oscar's party later that evening. |

I must remember to say that we had to provide our own breakfasts for both mornings so we had bacon and beans and eggy bread, and we had to provide our own lunch on Saturday. The breakfasts were cooked on gas conversion trangias and were absolutely brilliant. |

Whilst the girls were doing their different activities the leaders could dip in and out on trainings for the senior section which proved to be very useful. We learnt all about In4mers, Duke of Edinburghs Award, Queens Guide, etc. We too could have a go at the crafts that were available. Coffee and tea was available as you wanted it in the Coach House. |

Saturday evening was the Oscar's Party - after a bbq supper - that was better. Disco and kareoke songs boomed out of the house and to see the place filled with girls in their posh frocks was wonderful. Our girls actually got to bed earlier than us that night.... Not because we were particularly late to bed 11.30p.m. - they were shattered after a busy time. They loved the rafting very much.

Sunday morning was a relaxing get up with the first session starting at 10a.m. The weather forecast was not very promising so we managed to get everything packed away before the first session and before the rain came so we were very pleased with ourselves. |

Many new friends were made and old friends chatted to again. New things were learnt, old skills were renewed and after a fairly good lunch and a farewell presentation of slides by the leaders of the weekend, we all said our farewells and headed home. We all agreed that we would love to go again next year and would encourage others to do the same. |
