As Wales were winning their Triple Crown on Saturday, a young lady from Pembrokeshire was receiving her Young Persons Award from the High Sheriff of Dyfed for her work in Guiding.
Beverley Wilson has progressed through guides achieving on the way, her Baden Powell Award, & culminating in her Queen’s Guide Award at the end of 2007. She also found the time to do her Duke of Edinburgh’s Award gaining her Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards as well as being a veterinary student at the Royal Veterinary College.

She is now putting her knowledge to good use, assisting with guides in her local unit in Hertfordshire, and has recently become District Commissioner for Preseli District at home in Pembrokeshire.
The biggest cheer on Saturday happened when Beverley accepted her Award from the High Sheriff, although this might have had something to do with the fact that he announced the rugby result with Beverley by his side!
